Dear Raleigh Park Students and Parents:

On behalf of the Raleigh Park staff, I'm excited to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year! Raleigh Park is a proud learning community, steeped in tradition and excellence. In my 6th year here, I'm confident in saying what makes Raleigh Park the wonderful place that it is!  To its core, the strength of Raleigh Park is its dedicated educators who work daily to instill the knowledge and skills that prepare our students for all that the 21st century has to offer.

To this end, I am thrilled that Raleigh Park has been been designated an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) World School.  The Primary Years Programme promotes inquiry as a means to encouraging students to seek understanding of their identity as learners, emboldening them to become lifelong learners.

Moreover, Raleigh Park has been designated as a Future Ready pilot school.  According to the Beaverton School District's Future Ready Vision: 

"Education should be collaborative, responsive and relevant, prepare all students to adapt to an ever-changing future, and inspire and support teachers to innovate instructional practices and professional learning." 

Future Ready schools have committed to building-wide change and to integrating technology into the teaching and learning process.  Teachers and specialists will collaborate to help them integrate research, cutting-edge teaching skills and tools into the learning process to support change and innovation.
